Pastor Sarah Dokie
Women Ministry is a pillar of our church which is comprised of
all the women at NSCC.
Its leadership is a unique one which mothered a lot of singles,single
parent and women that were abused sexually during the civil war back
home in Liberia.
The leadership consists of a president,vice president,secretary,and a
chaplain.
This Ministry is headed by our first lady and senior associate pastor,a
woman with divine wisdom and leadership ability. She has been and is a
blessing to this ministry.
This specialized ministry, also known as the Precious Vessels of Virtue
(PVV), gives maximum and individual attention to women irrespective of
their status. It reaches out to women from all spheres of life and aims
at enhancing the image of women through the following specialized
groupings:
* Mom to Mom
* Expectant Mothers
* Professional Women
Precious : Women are of great value.
Vessels : Women are containers, carriers, of God's word, blessings.
Virtue : Women are to exhibit the true nature of God - goodness,
excellence, etc.
The Women Ministry organizes special training sections for all the men
in the church. The sections challenge all the women to become
responsible. The sections are created in a way that the men are involved
into vocational skills empowerment program such as:
1.Tailoring
2.Tie/Dye
3.Computer Knowledge
4.Batik Design
5.Hairdressing
6.Hat making
7.Drafting
8.etc & etc
These vocational skills training are not effective due to the lack of
funds. Our church is a refugee camp based one, and all our members are
Liberian refugees.
The Women Ministry is appealing to individuals, churches and
organizations that would love to be a blessing in order to enable these
skills empowerment become effective. |
